Sellou is a platform where creators can upload short-form video content and sell digital products directly through their videos. It’s built for creators who want to turn attention into income seamlessly.

Who can sell on Sellou?

Anyone with digital content to sell — creators, artists, educators, designers, developers, coaches, etc. You just need a valid email, a product to sell, and a video to showcase it.

What kind of products can I sell?

Digital products like eBooks, templates, presets, PDFs, courses, stock footage, wallpapers, guides, Notion docs, Figma kits, and more.

Can I sell AI-generated digital products on Sellou?

Yes, you can sell AI-generated content (like art, music, writing, templates, etc.) as long as you have the rights to use and sell it. You must clearly label AI-generated products if they could be mistaken for original human-made work.

Are there any restrictions on using AI content?

You must follow the terms of the tools you used (e.g., OpenAI, Midjourney, etc.), and your product can't infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or impersonate real people. Deepfakes, misleading content, or AI-generated materials that violate our community guidelines are not allowed.

Do I need to disclose that something was made with AI?

Yes, transparency builds trust. If your product is fully or partially generated by AI, include that in your product description.

How do I get paid?

Sellou uses Stripe to process payments. You’ll get paid directly to your bank account. You can set up your Stripe payout details on your profile when withdrawing funds in the app. Go to your profile, and click the “Earnings” tab.

Is there a fee?

We take a fixed platform fee from each transaction (20%). Pro subscribers reduce this to 15%. You keep the rest.

Can I set my own price?

Yes. You can offer fixed prices that match the value of your product.

Can I offer free downloads?

No. We encourage sellers to monetize their digital assets, setting a price as low as $1 is recommended.

How do I upload videos?

Simply record or upload vertical videos (up to 1 minute). Tag your product directly in the video so viewers can buy without leaving.

Can I link to my products in the video?

Yes. Every video on Sellou must be linked to a product. Viewers can tap to purchase instantly. Only one product can be linked on your posting screen.

How do I grow my audience on Sellou?

Post engaging short-form content consistently, use relevant hashtags, collaborate with other creators, and respond to comments. Our algorithm favors high watch-time and interactions.

Can I repost FROM TikTok or Instagram?

Yes — but original content performs better. If you repost, remove watermarks for the best visibility.

Can I repost TO TikTok or Instagram?

Yes! We offer our sellers free reposting to one platform to help with marketing their digital product. Pro subscribers get more options.

Product & Analytics

How are my products delivered to buyers?

Automatically. Once a buyer purchases, they receive an in-app download and in their purchase history.

Can I update a product after it’s been published?

No — you can edit the post, but not the product itself. To make changes to the product, you’ll need to create a new one, publish a new post for it, and delete the old version. This helps us maintain platform safety and prevent abuse.

Can I limit the number of sales or set expiration dates?

At the moment, no. Courses automatically expire after 1 year of purchase.

Can I see who bought my products?

Yes. Pro subscribers can access a dashboard that includes a customer list, sales analytics, and conversion rates. We have not released Pro subscriptions yet, please stay tuned!

Do I get analytics on video performance too?

Absolutely. View counts, click-throughs, purchases — all available per video.

Can I export customer emails?

No, we keep customer information confidential. You may reach out to them through in-app messaging.

Are my products protected from piracy?

We generate unique download links and track usage, but like all digital goods platforms, no system is 100% piracy-proof. We’re working on watermarking and licensing tools too.

Can I issue refunds?

Refunds are processed through the Sellou platform to ensure buyer safety and product legitimacy. Sellers cannot issue refunds manually. Refunds are only approved in specific cases such as technical issues, duplicate charges, or confirmed fraudulent products. If a product is reported as fraudulent, it may take up to 2 weeks for our team to investigate and confirm the issue before a refund is issued. This process helps us ensure that most products sold on Sellou are legitimate and allows us to identify and remove bad sellers or products that violate community standards.

Is there customer support?

Yes! We offer email and chat support to both sellers and buyers. We also have community forums for help and growth.

Is there a Sellou affiliate system?
